Story

Hi everyone,

As some of you may already know, we (Sally Barron and Vicki Miller) are off to The Gambia on the 7th December to do some charity work for an organisation that we both support.  As such, we are trying to raise awareness for the charity and also raise some funds before we go.

GHDT is a member of the 'Make Poverty History' collaboration and does some excellent work out in Africa.  The Gambia is one of the smallest and poorest countries in Africa, and the large majority of its population are peasant farmers.

The Trust was established to reduce rural poverty by increasing productivity of working horses and donkeys through animal welfare and management education. A healthy working equine can increase the income of a family by 500% and the charity has already assisted many families out of poverty through training and education.  For more information about their work please visit.

Please give as much or as little as you can afford, every penny helps!

Thanks,

Sally and Vicki
