In October 2009 I will be joining 11 people on an expedition to The Simien Mountains in Ethiopia to raise funds for the charity I work for, Ethiopiaid.

I am covering the expedition costs myself but have commited to raising funds for Ethiopiaid, so every penny I receive in sponsorship will go to the charity directly.

The Simien Mountains are one of the major highlands of Africa, rising to their highest point in Ethiopia, Ras Dejen (4,620m), the fourth highest peak in the African continent. The expedition is graded as tough and involves 12 days trekking at altitude so it is far from a relaxing holiday!
