Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On Sunday 14th September 2008 I ran the Nottingham Half Marathon. I ran 13.1 miles in a time of 2 hours, 17 minutes and 32 seconds. This was my first half marathon. I ran a mile for each year that Emma Knight lived. Emma was the eldest daughter of our friends Steve and Jane Knight. Emma sadly died this summer after a 4 year battle with a brain tumour. She was an unbelievable little girl, from an amazing family. Listening to the stories of what she managed to achieve in her short life, at her funeral, inspired me to do something. Bluebell Wood and its staff, provided amazing support to the Knight family both during Emma' illness and after her death. Any money you are able to donate will be much appreciated and well used for all the families that Bluebell Wood support. Sometimes though, it is not just, or even, the money that we give that can mean so much. Often it is the little things we can each do to support others in need. ....Emma inspired me to run 13.1 miles - what could you do? Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to raise money: Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you so much
