Some of you know me as Sal Barrow and some know me as Sal Cooke - just to keep you confused - I am that same person!!
Thank you for visiting this page and for your support - many of you will know that I actually managed to do the whole ride, all 405 miles of it and cannot believe the experiences, the sights the sounds, the friendships made and most importantly the money raised for the Women on Women Charity.
Thanks for visiting this page. As you will no doubt know I am Head of TechDis, www.techdis.ac.uk . The UK Service in Education which supports the use of technolgies to enhance the learning opportunites for all students with disabilities or learning difficulties in our colleges and universities.
This charity ride represented an opportunity, for me to actually support the research into such difficult areas such as genetic disease which give rise to these disablities or learning difficulties, which TechDis deals with on a day to day basis.
The good news is that I and my daughter Katie and her mother in law Judy all survived the trip and have now the task of obtaining all the remaining sponsorship money.
But what an honour and a privilege to have been to Rajashtan and to have been lucky enough to share it with family and friends.
I thank each and every one of you for your help in achieving my goals.
Now to buy a folding bike...
It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Women for Women Appeal will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now! Although if you do prefer you can contact me via email and I will send you details of how to sponsor me in cash or by cheque.
Many thanks for your support and friendship.
