Kiln Sierra Leone Marathon · 9 June 2012 ·

Street Child's purpose is to see all children safe, in school and learning - especially in low-resource environments and emergencies. We work with an expanding network of local organisations for lasting impact in over 20 of the world’s toughest countries across sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and Europe.

Story

On Saturday 9th June I have taken the challenge to run my first ever marathon. And to make this just a bit harder, I'm running it in Sierra Leone.

The training started in December, and over the next few months until race day, I'll be running 4 or 5 times a week to ensure that I am fit and ready for running non-stop for 26.2 miles.

This challenge is all in aid of Street Child of Sierra Leone. A very worthwhile charity and I suggest you take a look at their website to see what amazing work they do.

All donations will be gratefully recieved and much needed.

You can follow my training on twitter! @kilnsamruns

Thanks so much!

Sam
