When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A stroke is an awful thing and it changed my dad from being a fit, healthy and independent man into a man that needed help with everything. My dad loved to dance and play badminton with my mum. After his stroke none of this was possible.

A stroke is the UK's third biggest killer but we now know that the quicker someone gets help after a stroke the better the outcome for them. My dad waited for an ambulance for 2 hours!

Please donate so the Stroke Association can  help more stroke survivors.
