I have now run the course. It was the most amazing experience, the crowds are so encouraging. The weather was foul, cold and rainy. I had a very bad stomach upset but even with the many toilet stops (I got locked in one portaloo and had to kick the door down!), I still enjoyed the experience and would do it again. (I have applied in the 2009 ballot).

I had planned to take it easy and be home in 5 hours but with all my interruptions I managed 5.28, so I'd like another go!
