ActionAid is an international charity working with women and girls to create a more just, equitable and sustainable future. We work across the world with local communities, women's networks and other allies to support women and girls as they tackle injustices and claim their rights.

Story

I will be trekking across India taking in some of the roughest terrain to raise funs for ActionAid and visit ActionAid's projects in India to see where your money pledged goes.

Thank you visiting, now, please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Every pound raised makes a vital difference to the lives of some of the worlds poorest children, families and communities.

By sponsoring your are helping to ActionAid to strive for a world without poverty in which every person can exercise their right to a life of dignity. Here are just a few examples of what your pledge will achieve: £15 buys three basic HIV medical kits. £80 will feed a child in a shelter in India for a year. £100 could run a medical centre for 5 days - treating over 100 people in Guharat. £250 will pay the salary of a teacher in an access centre in Ethiopia. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: ActionAid will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Please also see: www.samgoeswalkies.com for full details.
