Story

Hello!

I'll be taking part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF) Walk to Cure diabetes at Drayton Manor Park (yes, home of the Corkscrew!) on Sunday 5th October 2008. It's a 5 mile walk which doesn't sound a lot, but if you know me at all you'll know that'll be the equivalent of a marathon to me!

Anyway, please sponsor me as much as you can - all of the money goes to help the JDRF find a cure for Type 1 diabetes which is a condition affecting over 350,000 people in Britain - me included. Living with the condition means either multiple daily injections or use of a pump, multiple blood glucose testing during the day, watching your diet - and all to avoid the many complications associated with the condition (e.g. kidney failure, blindness, amputation and loss of feeling in limbs to give you a taster). Trust me, it's a right royal pain in the a***, so let's help find a cure please!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
