Story

Hi and thankyou for taking the time to visit my sponsor page.

On Sunday 22 April 2012, I will be running the Virgin London Marathon for the 3rd time! This year I have decided to raise money for Lifeblood - The Thrombosis Charity.

The reason I have chosen Lifeblood is because earlier this year, my Fiancee's brother, Martin Angell, suddenly passed away due to a blood clot on the lungs! This came as a massive shock to all his family and friends! He had turned 40 years of age, just 2 days prior! Therefore, I have decided to run London in his memory and in doing so try help raise awareness of thrombosis!

Lifeblood was established by a group of people who recognise the need to promote awareness about thrombosis and to increase understanding of its causes, effects and the treatment available.

Thrombosis has been – and remains – a major cause of death in the United Kingdom yet astonishingly, this fact is not widely known. Most people have little or no understanding about the causes and effects of thrombosis, and how it can be prevented.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

You can keep up to date with my training on Runkeeper: #mce_temp_url#

Follow me on twitter: #mce_temp_url#
