Story

Thanks for taking the time.

Yssy Hailu and I are taking part in the British 10K London run to raise money for African Children's Educational Trust (A-CET), a small independent UK charity run by volunteers. I am currently a Trustee (one of the directors) and had a scholarship from A-CET to study in the UK. Yssy has just finished his a-cet sponsored MBA and helps David while waiting for his graduation.

I had a chance to see A-CET's completed and future school projects during my recent visit to Ethiopia.

I was very impressed with A-CET's local people in Ethiopia who are very responsible and spend every penny wisely.

Visiting new schools and the first solar computer lab made me realize the impact of the projects on the students and the community.

Spending time with children from the schools in the remote areas who aspire to be teachers, doctors and prime ministers was very inspiring.

I am sure you all agree that educating the local people is one of the best ways to help developing countries. It is not a quick fix, but we can do it by building one school at a time.

I believe donations made to focused and accountable efforts such as this are making a significant difference.

Please sponsor me!

Thank you!
