Sammy Brett's All Out 5K Swim!

All Out Swim 2016 Brockwell · 8 October 2016 to 9 October 2016 ·
Hi All,
This is my third year swimming! And this time I have upped my game from 2K to a very lengthy 5K (that's 100 lengths!) at Brockwell Lido and I plan to do it in 2 hours, hopefully quite a bit under!
Cancer has unfortunately been an ongoing part of mine and my family's' life. Way back in '98 I was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma and although I am in remission, I will always be in some sort of aftercare. It's recently hit my family again but we soldier on as usual knowing that the laughs and 'good times' (there really were a few!) will be from the nurses, doctors and the likes of Macmillan Support.
Swimming is the one thing I can still do fluently and have the confidence to challenge myself with and the Macmillan All Out Swim has given me an amazing opportunity to really push myself.
As I am swimming 5K this year, it would be fantastic if I could get £500 out of you all. I will also donate after my swim to match my finish time as it is such a wonderful cause.
Please donate if you can and thank you so much in advance! Please do share this page as I would love to smash my target this year for those going through Cancer and those of us who have got through it!
Thanks again,
Sammy xx
