About our charity : Cardiac Risk in the Young Cardiac Risk in the Young
Hundreds of young people die unexpectedly of heart defects every year. CRY works to raise awareness of Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and campaigns for proactive screening of young people. It offers help and support to those who have suffered a loss, provides medical information, carries out Mobile Cardiac Screening and ECG Testing Programmes within local communities and contributes to medical research. Our personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On the 20th of April 2008 i will be leaping from a plane at 10,000 feet falling for 5,000 feet then floating gracefully (hopefully) to terra fima.

I am doing this to raise money and awareness for CRY (cardiac risk in the young) a charity that was bought to my attention after our friends 8 year old son died from an undiagonsed heart condition.

Charlie was as normal, fit and Healthy boy but on the 16th May 2007 whilst playing rounders at school he collapsed and died.

Every week  8 'apparently' fit and healthy young people die in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions and some of these could be saved with something as simple as an ECG (electrocardiogram). So please help by sponsoring me so that we can help raise awareness for such a worthy cause. All money raised will go towards the Charlie Morettes memorial fund.
