St Mungo's is London's largest charity for homeless people. We open our doors to homeless and vulnerable people, enabling their recovery, and work to prevent rough sleeping in the first place. We run over 100 projects and help thousands of people make life changes every year.

My story

See that picture over there? That was moments after I came back from my first training run, three tiny miles. I look knackered don't I?

I was knackered.

I don't like running, it's boring and it hurts and the trainers make you look a bit dorky.... but I do want to raise some money for St Mungo's, not just because it's where I work and I'll get some brownie points from my boss, but because of the fantastic work they do for some of the most vulnerable people you are ever likely to meet.

So I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, it is on the 11^th October and although I have never done any running before, I am aiming for 2 hours.

I hope to end with that warm glow you get when you do something for someone else, it means you are one of the special people who are prepared for forgo velvet underpants (I look shit hot in those) and tia maria on your cornflakes to make a the world a slightly better place.
