Hello good people,

I cheekily invite you all to buy me a drink for my birthday! Unfortunately, I won’t be celebrating with any of you on the day in person this year so I thought I might request that instead of helping me get inebriated, you could make a donation to ABESU.

As you may or may not be aware, ABESU is a charity that I am involved with, which is based in Wales and which supports a sustainable housing and poverty alleviation project in Zambia. Anything you donate will make a real difference on the ground in Zambia as ABESU finances its administration costs from separate sources. ABESU is currently building houses, improving sanitation and helping to provide clean water sources for a small female led community in Chongwe, Zambia. Any donations would be greatly received and have a far more sustainable and long-term benefit than any drink you might’ve bought me to celebrate.

I hope, that besides highlighting the difference that we can all make if we just donate the cost of one drink (one less for the road!) this appeal will show me that I should never attempt to celebrate my birthday with you all present for fear of its consequences on my liver!!!! Please state the drink you are buying me just for comedy value and of course feel free to buy me more than one, its all for a good cause!
