Story
Dear All
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.In December 2009 I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and trying to raise as much money as possible for Coventry Society for the Blind (aka Coventry Resource
Centre for the Blind).
I have chosen to raise money for CSB as they are a small local charity (reg.700656) who provide valuable advice, support, resources and social activities for people who are blind, partially sighted and dual sensory impaired within the Coventry and surrounding areas. I have seen first hand how money donated to this charity is used, when I volunteered last year and hence know what a great service this is to the blind and sensory impaired people in Coventry.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain on earth, and also the highest point in the continent of Africa. The Tazanian mountain is 5895 meters tall (19331 ft.) the equivilant of putting a ladder against an avarage house (6m) and then climbing it 982 times!!
This expedition is going to be the most challenging experience I'll ever do in my life, so Please Please dig deep as every penny will spur me on to reach the top.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
