In February 2010 I'll be cycling 470km through Vietnam and Cambodia in aid of MAG. I hope to raise £3000 and it's a wonderful cause so please help me get there!
I must admit I was first attracted by the challange and the chance to visit Vietnam and Cambodia - I didn't know much about MAG, but since looking at their web site and seeing the work they do I am really impressed and would love to raise as much as possible to help with their valuable work. By clearing an area of landmines and unexploded ordnance MAG are handing the land back to the people allowing them to safely use the land to cultivate crops and support their families. Please do read more on the MAG web site to find out exactly what your donation will be used more.
Since signing up for the challenge (in a mad moment!) I am now coming to terms with the fact that I will have to do plenty of training to ensure that I will be able to even complete the ride, and, as we leave in February I will have to do the training through the winter........being cold and dark outside is usually a good excuse to curl up on the sofa and do nothing!
I really appreciate your support. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Mines Advisory Group gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
