Sands, Stillbirth and neonatal death charity, is an organisation which offers support to the families of babys who have died during pregnancy or after birth. The death of a baby is a devastating experience. The effects of grief can be overwhelming and parents, their families and friends can be left feeling dazed, disorientated, isolated and exhausted.

Pregnancy should be, and is such a wonderful time for so many families, but for the 6,500 each year in the UK that suffer the tragedy of stillbirth or neonatal death, their lives are forever changed. During June alone, more than 500 families will be left devastated when their much loved and wanted baby son or daughter is stillborn or dies in the first few weeks of life. Together we can start to break the silence surrounding this unique type of bereavement and could even save a life.

With your money Sands can continue their good work throughout the UK,  the money we raise will be split equally between Powys Sands, supporting people in Powys, and the national charity.
