Hi all

I don't know what possessed me to agree to do this 13.5 mile walk for charity.  I can think of much nicer things to do on a Saturday night other than trudge through the streets of Southend in a bright yellow t-shirt.

Fair Havens is a local charity which runs two hospices - one for adults and one for children (Little Havens).  Fair Havens was in danger of closing down earlier this year because it could not cover its costs, so any amount of sponsorship raised will help them.

Hope the weather is good as I don't fancy doing it in the rain .
