Sara and Charlotte's Big Learner Relay 2017

The Big Learner Relay · 1 November 2017
Thousands of instructors and pupils will participate in a relay of more than 2,100 miles around the UK between November 3rd – 17th. Cars will be seen covered with polka dot spots, which people can write their names or a message on, in return for a donation. Throughout a Pudsey top box, the kind that instructors have on their cars, will be relayed from one instructor to another.
This will be the second year that Sara and I are taking part. Last year we joined the leg from York to Leeds and raised just over £300. We both found it great fun and a fantastic way to raise money for such a great cause and hope this year will be bigger and better! Sara is offering people the chance to write their names or a message on the coloured spots her car will be decorated with, in return for a donation. She says, “I couldn’t do it without Charlotte, she is doing everything and getting me all organised, she is the ‘driving force’ behind me taking part in this event!”
This year Sara and I have been chosen to be a lead car which means we will have the Pudsey top box on whilst being followed by a convoy of other learner cars, going from Leeds United football stadium, Elland Road, Leeds to Owlcotes Shopping centre, Pudsey, where the top box will then be handed over to the next lead car.
