Headway Surrey provides support and services for those affected by brain injury across the county of Surrey. The specialist staff provide a comprehensive range of building-based services at the newly built resource centre in Guildford. Here, help is provided in areas such as cognitive rehabilitation as well as dealing with the wider issues arising from brain injury. Staff also work in the community supporting people in re-establishing a worthwhile and inclusive lifestyle. Headway Surrey do their very best to support others affected by brain injury - families, carers and friends. In addition they spend a considerable amount of time trying to ensure that the public are aware of the issues surrounding brain injury. Headway Surrey is a registered charity which is largely dependent on your financial support to continue to provide services. I can't think of a better reason to run the 2012 London Marathon so I can to support the vital work Headway Surrey do. Head injuries are no respecter of age, health or fitness levels - if you have a head injury you need help. Headway Surrey provides that vital help to LOCAL people.

I've done it!!! Yesterday I completed the Virgin London Marathon in 4 hours, 24 minutes and 44 seconds. I should like to thank EVERYONE who has sponsored me, supported my quiz evening and kept me going on the long training runs. It has all been worth it, THANK YOU.

HEADWAY SURREY Supports people who are affected by head injury. It provides information & support for the head injured, their families and carers. HEADWAY SURREY was started as a self help group in 1985, by carers and professionals and the charity has since grown to offer a range of support services.
