We will be rowing 80 miles along the Thames, from Radley College to the Millenium boathouse this is likely to take 12 or more hours on the water on each of the two days and involves 28 locks.  There will be a team of parents in support of all the rowers, providing hot drinks and food along the way, support with passing through the locks and safety cover.  There will be a team on bikes staying with the rowers and monitoring them as well as safety boats staffed by coaches. 

All sponsorship money is being given in aid of the Shooting Star Chase Charity.  This is a local charity and it helps children and their families who need hospice care due to life limiting conditions. You can see their website at http://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk/ . We are aiming to raise £25,000 between us all to help pay for a care nurse for one whole year.
