Staying in hospital can be a difficult time for patients and their families. We improve our patients’ care through extra funding for equipment, research, staff and patient welfare. Be it a neuro-rehabilitation machine, or specialist cancer training, your support helps us to continue our work.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I shall be running for the cancer unit at High Wycombe Hospital, in particular for the haematology unit, looking after patients with leukaemia and lymphoma. It is a disease which touches many of us in one way or another.  The money that I raise will either be used to buy a specific piece of equipment (some of the drip monitors for example can cost £2000) or it will be placed into a bigger 'pot' for use on larger projects for the unit.

Please dig deep and sponsor me whatever you can - and support in the lead up to the run will also be most appreciated -  'Don't panic' texts and emails for example!  I will be slow to finish but I will get round. I have been having personal training sessions twice a week in Hyde Park with Aussie Pete and running 2 short runs a week plus one long one at the weekend. So I intend to do the best time that I can!And if anybody wants to do a training run with me either in London or Wendover in the weeks beforehand you are most welcome!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bucks Hospitals NHS Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now! And thank you very much.
