Story

Thank you for your donation, Nonna would be so pleased. As you know Bletchley Park was a huge part of her life and a secret which she proudly kept for many years.

Her book The Road to Station X is a thrilling account of her life as a London debutante and in the Naval Section index at Station X, Bletchley. Nonna recounts Winston Churchill's visit to Bletchley:

'He stood on a soap box outside exuding power and confidence surrounded by all those staff who were able to leave their work, the sun shone and he waited a few minutes whilst we shuffled about angling for position. Then he lifted his head and said

"to look at you, one would not think you held so many secrets, but I know better and I'm proud of you".

It was all the thanks we needed and it was all the thanks we got.'
