My story

 
On 11th-13th September I will be taking part in a 125 mile charity bike ride from Lands End to Bude to raise money for Christian charity Worth Unlimited.

These guys do some really important stuff working with marginalised and excluded young people in cities across the UK. The charity runs all sorts of programmes and mentoring schemes to help those who’ve had a tough start in life realise their individual worth and potential. Pah, I hear you cry, but you cycle to work, this is going to be easy for you. Wrong!!! This is not my nice stint along smooth, flat London roads- Cornwall has hills. LOTS of them. Big ones! And for those –like myself- who are unfamiliar with distances 125 miles is.. a loooooooong way! It’s going to be tough: 6-8 hrs of cycling a day, with the accompanying aching limbs, saddle sores and pudding deprivation. In other words I’m going to be spending 3 days in agony, and now surely that alone is worth a few bob?!
