I'm lucky enough to have a good for age place for virgin London marathon 2010 !

I have chosen to run the marathon for the Mary Hare foundation, Max my son has been deaf since birth and at the age of 11 we made the  heart wrenching decision to send Max to the Mary Hare boarding school for the deaf.

Max is now in sixth form studying for his A levels, we feel he's enjoyed a successful education and it's been a privilege for Max to go to such a wonderful school.

The Mary Hare foundation has recently launched an appeal to raise the funds needed for a new boarding house, to cater for the needs of year11 pupils, as the progress from GCSE coursework to the demands of A level curriculum

Ok , the running bit ! I have been running since September 2007, I started by running up and down my drive, it took me a month to run a mile and 8 months to run my first marathon , since then I have managed to clock up about 4000 miles and about 15 marathons, I have really enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends while running in such wonderful places around the country.

This will be my first London marathon, I'm very excited to run it for such a fantastic charity, looking forward to the blisters , black toe nails and aching muscles .
