Story

Hi all,

I am one of the very lucky ones who will be running the Bupa Great North Run 2010. Most of you know I have a son called Matthew who has Autism and ADHD, over the last seven (by then Eight) year's my husband and I have sometimes struggled to help Matthew and so desperatly want Matty to have a normal life. In the past NAS has helped advised us, not only did they advise us, but also acted as a helpline. This stopped me hitting depression and despair. I want other perents to know that they are NOT alone. Help and support is out there. NAS also wants to promote awareness of Autism. I can give you some examples....

"The child you see in the supermarket who is shouting and rocking, isnt naughty... but may have learning difficulties or suffer from Autism" "The adult who you do not know approaches you and askes you a random question, may be Autistic" All it takes is knowledge and understanding..

Please can you sponsor me and join me in raising awareness? Thank you and kisses xx
