Hi Everyone,
Helen,Mike,James and me climbed Mount Kilimanjaro this August, with all of us reaching the summit at 19,340 feet. This took seven days of hard work and long days of walking (6-8 hours on average). We are all extremely pleased with this achievement and what we have accomplished. For Helen and me, this was also part of a five week trip to Tanzania in which we worked in a local hospital in Arusha as physiotherapists.
We climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Brainwave. This charity has a national reputation for providing families with the knowledge, skills and equipment to take an active and vital role in their childs development. This helps to ensure each child can achieve their full potential.
The charity is completely reliant on donations. It costs the charity £3000 a year to accept a new child to the programme, £25 will supply an essential piece of equipment and £100 will help to maintain a hydrotherapy pool.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Brainwave will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Thanks for your support
Love Sarah,James,Helen and Mike
