Whilst training for this run I have learnt many things - the main one being how to put one foot infront of the other in quick succession - not as easy as I first imagined! I have also received lots of comments like 'wow' and 'look at those thunder thighs', but also 'mummy you look awful in your running kit'.  I can now proudly say that I can run faster than snail's pace over a reasonable distance, have slightly reduced my thunder thighs and that I purchased some baggy running trousers to replace my tight lycra ensemble!
