BUPA Great North Run 2007 · 30 September 2007 ·

The Fairbridge Programme, part of The Prince's Trust, is located in 15 of the most disadvantaged areas of the UK, working in partnership with local communities to provide cost-effective solutions to issues such as truancy, crime and unemployment.

Story

Well, I’ve decided to do the Great North Run (GNR) again this year – my 11th time.  I failed to get in via the GNR public ballot, but have secured a place thanks to a Newcastle-based charity called Fairbridge, and I’m desperately trying to raise £350 for them.

The Great North Run, which is the world’s biggest half marathon with 50,000 runners, will take place on Sunday 30 September, so my training has started….slowly I might add!  I’ll let you know how long it takes me to do the actual Run.  I have Paul and Megan as my back-up team to get me to the start line and scoop me up at the finish line (hopefully on the same day!).

If you could see your way to sponsoring me for ANY amount, both Fairbridge and I would be truly grateful.  The site is totally secure.  If you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my page, and THANKS A MILLION if you sponsor me.

Sarah
