It is with great regret that I have had to withdraw from this year's London Marathon because of an injury to my hip. I am hugely disappointed that I am unable to run tomorrow but I have been promised a guaranteed place for the Marathon in 2010 and I intend to run then.

All of the money that you have donated has gone towards supporting the vital work of The Connection at St Martin's and I will run for them next year. If you would prefer for your sponsorship money to be returned to you as I have not been able to compete, please let me know so that I can arrange this with the charity.
