Hi everyone! Well here we are the morning after the marathon and yes I DID IT!!!!! It was such an amazing day and despite very tired legs and a very bruised foot today I loved every minute of it. I finished, without stopping! in 4hrs 53mins, so very pleased with myself! Taking it easy today which I think I deserve!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated on my page you have exceeded all my expectations of how much I would raise!

Lots of love Sarah xx

October 2009  -  Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page!

Those of you who know me well and I'm hoping that's quite a few will know its the big 40 for me this year! Being me and someone who strives on being busy busy busy! decided on adding the London marathon to her ever growing schedule.  To most I'm sure you must think I'm mad, crazy or just plain daft or all 3!

Well.... the is another MORE important reason than just celebrating a number....My Dad.

2010 is the 20th anniversary of my wonderful Dad not being with me. So I thought this would be a fitting tribute to my Dad, who was taken away far too soon and who is still missed terribly.  I am sure Dad would have been proud of my lifes achievements and by completing the London marathon (or at least aiming to) would be one more on the list.

Havens Hospice in my area, like all the hospices including Fairleigh in Chelmsford where Dad was looked after so kindly and patiently by the fantastic nurses and staff relies on generous support by the British public.  The hospice movement up and down the country is only part funded by the government and would not be able to provide the support to so many families without the fundraising so many do. So with this and Dad in mind I thankyou  for any donantion you can make however big or small, every penny counts.

My training has started and going well so far.  I am not aiming for a time in the marathon just crossing the finish line in one piece and injury free! Maybe I will see a few of you on the day?

I hope you all have a wonderful 2010 and that it is a happy and healthy year for everybody.

Love, thanks and best Wishes from Sarah xx
