About my charity : International Alert International Alert
For over 23 years, International Alert has been the UK’s leading peacebuilding charity working in Africa, Asia and the Caucasus. Our approach is both bottom up and top down. We work with communities affected by violent conflict and at the same time, with governments and other decision-makers (e.g. EC, UN, the African Union) to improve policy and practice.

Only when there is peace, can a country take steps to lift itself out of poverty. Peacebuilding is essential to building the foundations of lasting stability before this can be built upon by development aid, or this aid will go to waste.

My personal message:

Hello!

I shall be taking part in this years Great South Run which is a 10 mile run held down in Portsmouth....... and I want to raise some money!

I landed this place through work and the charity I am supporting is International Alert who promote peace in Violent areas in the world.

It will be tough - there will be blisters - training is underway and im ready for action!
