Story

I did it 5k in 34 min. Fantastic and it's not to late to donate x

It's tomorrow! It's tomorrow! It's tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pasta for tea and 2 and a half K run on the tread mill today. Picnic made and transfer ironed on to t-shirt. Ready to run!

4 days to go, this has taken my mind off of starting a new job (today.) I can't thank all of you enough you are all so kind and generous. I actually ran 5K last night, I'm aching a bit today so will rest. Now I know I can do it though. I have a great app on my phone which tracks the distance and time. It took me 39min but I don't really care about the time I just want to get round in one piece.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Thought I'd update you on my training. I have been on a few runs with my friend Nic she has given me great support and running tips. I have also been on a few runs with my husband Mark, on holiday. We ran along the beach and up a steep hill "good training" he said! I have bought a new waist bag to put bits and pieces in; mainly Queen tracks downloaded onto my new Android phone. Love the words like, Under Pressure and I Want to Break Free, very apt. Well 5 days to go need to decide which top to wear for the day pink or white and thought I'd tie a helium balloons to us so we get noticed. My friends Nic and Ann-Marie are joining me on the run, also Becky (my sister) but she might walk.

Mum said she wants to see us do it but the journey is too far with crowds and no places to park. I'll send her photos and let her know that we are doing it for her. She means so much to me, I love her so much, it's just not fair she has this terrible condition. Even talking to her on the phone is hard work as talking tires her out. It seems like she runs out of words.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

My Mum has been recently diagnosed with MSA and no-one seems to know what it is. I thought I'd do a run to raise awareness and money for the charity who helps her.

She has had to give up work, move house and adapt her lifestyle to cope with everyday life. She is unsteady on her feet so she has a wheelchair, stick and frame. She shakes and her speech is slow and slurred. All I know is that she wont get any better (worse in fact). I visit her regularly and really want to more.

I hope you can support me, the training will be hard because I hate running! Every step I take will be for my dearest Mum.

Thank you for reading this.
