The Multiple System Atrophy Trust is the UK and Ireland's only charity dedicated to providing specialist support to all those affected by multiple system atrophy (MSA); a life-limiting neurodegenerative condition. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to provide our free support services.

Story

All Done!!!!!!!

Thank you for your support. I completed the triathlon on Sunday in the 'not so record' time of 4 hours and four minutes. Not quite elite time but I made it !  Wetsuit picture now added !

Update: 6th July 2009

OMG - the triathlon is in less than a month..... thanks for all the sponsors so far. Just the final push now to reach my target! Remember, this isn't just a jog in the park - it's a 1500m swim, 40km bike ride and 10km run ( and trust me, I am going to hurt after this for a long time!) . I'm doing the triathlon for someone close who suffers from MSA - everytime I feel tired when I'm training I just think how she would love just to be able to walk or put her own make up on. So please give anything you can, it means a lot to me in terms of your support, but even more so, it will help make a difference to individuals who are supported by this charity.

Thanks again

Sarah

Thanks for thinking of sponsoring me!

On the 2nd August this year, I will be taking part in the London Triathlon - a 1500m swim followed by a 40km bike ride and finished off with a 10km run. (ouch!)

I would like to raise as much money as I can for the Sarah Matheson Trust - who help give support to people living with MSA (a progressive degenerative neurological disorder). I have chosen this charity to support someone very cose to me. Any donation you can make would mean so much to me!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sarah Matheson Trust for Multiple System Atrophy gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support - I'll update this page with new training pictures soon - just don't laugh!

Thanks again

Sarah
