I'm hoping to raise some money for Open Arms Malawi, a charity that dedicates itself towards caring for AIDS orphans, terminally ill and neglected children.

14.2% of the population of Malawi suffers from AIDS, and this statistic is rapidly inflating. As a result, at least 850 000 children are living parentless in Malawi today, and this number also continues to rise. Many charities are working on ways to prevent and fight the AIDS epidemic, but we cannot ignore the millions who have already been attacked by it. My school, Kingswood School Bath, has been involved in the charity for some time now, and is planning to take a handful of students out to Malawi next summer, in order to help with building, painting and other projects. I was fortunate enough to have been chosen, however the money I raise here will definately be going directly to the charity, and will not be used to help fund my trip.
