In 2009  I rowed solo from Perth, WA to Mauritius - a journey which took 124 days to complete. And that was after 3 years planning and one failed attempt.

It was just me and my little boat 'Dippers' and an absolute ocean of adventures. Three world records were scooped - first woman and youngest person to solo row the Indian Ocean and the youngest woman to solo row any ocean.

The project was dedicated  to the memory of my Dad, Derek Outen. He died suddenly in 2006 and had suffered from rheumatoid arthritis for twenty years. Your donations go towards supporting the millions of people in the UK who suffer from the various forms of arthritis, so please, dig deep.

This is a super secure way of donating  and very efficient. If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Big happy thank you; the ocean has been a huge team effort.
