Hello everyone,
Well I did it! Probably not the most relaxing way to spend my birthday, but it will certainly be my most memorable one!
Despite the dodgy knee I managed to complete the run in around 5 hours (and no walking!). It was very tough and very hot but I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. It was a fantastic experience with every inch of the 26.2 mile route lined with people cheering us on.
I don’t think I’ll be doing it again in a hurry, but they say it’s a bit like childbirth (and nearly as painful!), so who knows!
I would like to thank you all very much for the money you have given, you have all been so generous and your sponsorship has meant a lot to me. Apart from the donations to “justgiving.com” I have received a similar amount in cheques, enabling me to raise a fantastic £3k for the Neuromuscular Centre, so I’m absolutely thrilled!
