We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

I'm running the London Marathon for ABF The Soldiers' Charity. This charity does fantastic work helping those who serve in the forces. For those most in need, either serving or veterans, The Soldier's Charity helps support them. This might be if they need financial support to help provide medical care, or ramps put in the home, because someone in the household is using a wheelchair due to injury when serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. The charity also gives long term grants to organisations that support veterans, such as the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

This charity is important to me personally. I served in the Army, and have many friends still there - some of which have come back from operations with life-changing injuries.

I love running the marathon, so although I should make it sound incredibly hard, I'll just say: it showcases some really wonderful causes, and the money raised really goes to those that need the help most. So, it's a good time to run a little and give a little, to help a lot.
