Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I’m running the London Marathon in memory of two very brave people who fought the battle against Leukaemia

- my husband Andrew who died in October 07

- and our amazing friend Laurie Hiscock who died four months later in February 08.

Although I agreed to join the Banana Army and wear the yellow vest for the marathon miles when I cross the FINISH LINE I’ll be looking forward to:

Ø      Ziggy, our puppy, licking my face in memory of Laurie the animal lover

Ø      Something white with bubbles in memory of a much loved husband, Daddy & DD

Ø      For myself, a large glass of red and a bar of bitter sweet.

And, as for the banana (since I believe in sharing), I will donate that to my best friend and running partner for the marathon, Debbie Taylor, the Dietician!
