Hi everybody, I have decided to run the Flora London Marathon 2008 on the 13th April. As I am a holder of a Golden Bond place, I need to raise £1400 for the charity Sense. This is such a worthy cause. This charity is the UK's largest organisation for children and adults who are deafblind, or who are affected by rubella, or have associated disabilities. They offer diasbled people of all ages the chance to develop their potential to the full. Sense was founded in 1955 as a support group for parents of children with congenital rubella syndrome. Since then, the organisation has grown to be one of the largest UK charities supporting people who are deafblind or have associated disabilities. The more you donate, the higher my chances are of actually running. I need to raise this money just to compete. Please donate as much as you can spare. Visit www.sense.org.uk to find out more about the work they do. £15 could buy a fibre optic light to test a deafblind child's sight and reactions. £18 could help pay for a child's first vital communication session with a Sense specialist. Please tell as many people as you know to donate, and send me either an email via st214@kent.ac.uk, or on Facebook, if you have any more questions. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sense - National Deafblind and Rubella Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. Sarah Thompson
