My story

 

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This challenge is all about raising money to help the Blue Cross rehome pets and support animal welfare.

 

UPDATE: 5th November... I'm setting off on Sunday, 8th November, to Cuba, to at last do the trek. Thank you so much to all who have supported me so far. i just need a little push to help get me there and keep me inspired as I cross the island... so please, if you haven't sponsored me already, i still need to raise more and a little more will help. Whatever you donate on here will go straight to the Blue Cross who need every last penny as winter draws in and they get ready for the busiest time of the year they face. So far I've raised nearly the minimum requirement (though with some of my own money) ... a small push more will make a big difference this weekend to my spirits!!

 

 

In November 2009, I'm trekking coast to coast across Cuba, in aid of the Blue Cross animal welfare charity. The trek will be challenging - 90 km of varied terrain - which will be completed in 5 days. I've got a lot of preparation to do so any sponsorship you can put forward will really help - it'll spur me on to greater effort both in making sure I'm fit enough and also encouraging me to raise the full amount of sponsorship. I'm really grateful for anything you can give.

Originally planned to take place in February, the trip was postponed because people had dropped out, unable to raise the money. I've deferred to November but I've got a lot more fundraising to do so please donate!!

The charity is a great cause, too. They take in and rehome all kinds of pets and domestic animals. I've heard so many stories of animals being rescued by the Blue Cross since I started doing this, they really save lives.
