Ultraman Canada Triathlon · 26 May 2009

Dolen Cymru, the Wales Lesotho Link is a unique Welsh Charity that has been assisting in the development of Lesotho since 1985. Dolen Cymru creates and develops life changing relationships in education, health and civil society and we are honoured to have HRH Prince Harry as its Patron.

Story

"Ultraman Canada is a 3-day, 512.6 kilometer (318.6 mile) individual ultra-endurance event which covers part of the Okanagan/Similkameen regions of British Columbia, Canada. Entry is limited to 30 solo participants and is by invitation only. The event started in Canada in 1993, following the format of the original Ultraman established in Kona, Hawaii in 1983. Participants are expected from around the world. I am taking part in this challenging event in order to raise as much sponsorship as possible for the Welsh Charity Dolen Cymru. Over the past 25 years Dolen Cymru has been dedicated in creating life changing links between Wales and Lesotho in fields of education, health, governance and civil society. Identified by the UN as a least developed country and with more than a third of its population suffering from HIV/AIDS , with an average life expectancy of less than 40 years, Lesotho is in need of support, training and educational development. You can learn more about Dolen Cymru at: http://www.dolencymru.org/ Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dolen Cymru ; Wales Lesotho Link gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Any donations, however large or small will be very gratefully received. My participation in this event would not be possible without the support and sponsorship of Bangor University School of Law, for more information please visit:http://www.bangor.ac.uk/law/
