Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After a difficult 2011 including a poorly mummy, I need a focus and challenge for 2012.

SO, I will be running my first full marathon on 15th April and running a further 5 full marathons throughout year culminating in a 40 mile cross-country ultra marathon at the end of November (roughly a marathon every 6 weeks).  Given my busy life with a career and single-parenthood, those who know me will know the extent of this personal challenge. It's more than just preparing for a marathon or even a series of marathons, it's a case of training for and maintaining a high level of endurance running for an entire year.  Believe me, this is no mean feat!

If I can raise funds for a worthwhile cause along the way then what a bonus!

Macmillan Cancer Support have been brilliant in looking after my mum (who is doing brilliantly by the way) as they have been for so many others.  So if you can find it in your heart and your pocket to support the charity whilst I find the time, energy and discipline to put approximately 2000 miles of training in, a lot of people will be extremely thankful!
