Story
I'll be running the London Marathon on 21st April, raising money for WaterAid.
This is a fantastic charity that does incredibly important work with the world's poorest people. Over 783 million people in the world don't have access to safe water, and many more (2.5 billion) don't have access to adequate sanitation. Around 5,000 children die every day from water-related diseases. Even a small amount of money can go a very long way towards improving these lives.
(Please check out www.wateraid.org if you want to find out more about the charity.)
So... most of you know I'm nuts about running. Even so, this is a massive personal challenge. It's the culmination of 18 months hard work, including training for and running the Milton Keynes marathon last year (in brutal weather conditions!) so I could get automatic qualification for London. I'm really excited about the event, and would love to make the most of all the hours training by doing some useful fundraising for WaterAid. I'll be running my socks off, and aiming for a big personal best time, so would love your support in any shape or form!
Thank you thank you thank you lovely people!!!
