All done 26.2 miles in 4 hours and 2 minutes. I'm glad it's all over I won't lie! Thanks again everyone
I would just like to say a huge thank you for everyone who's sponsored me. I can't believe how much we've raised for such a fantastic cause I'm so chuffed. All I've got to do is get round now... All 26+ miles, can't wait* Will update at the finish... *there is a hint of sarcasm here!
So just did my last big training run, due to suffering with shin splints recently I only managed to chuck out 19.3 miles instead off 22 but hey what's 2.7 miles in the grand scheme of things?!! 3 weeks to go and some very generous sponsorship do far. I'll try and keep it up and actually finish!! Not looking as glamorous after 19 miles!
Some of you may be aware that a very dear friend of mine Lisa, lost her Dad, Mick, last year to cancer. It was a very difficult time for Mick and the whole family but throughout it the North London Hospice provided great help and support for them all. Mick was a great man and whilst I personally only met him a handful of times he was a true gentleman. When I ran the London marathon a few years back he was very generous with sponsoring me and I would like to do my little bit back. I know that Lisa and her family are very grateful for everything that the hospice did for Mick and the whole family and they made his last days a lot easier than they could have been.
Please do dig deep, as the saying goes "every little helps".
