We are Ovarian Cancer Action. 🩵 As the UK's leading ovarian cancer research charity, we’re working to change that. By finding new and better ways to prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, we will ensure a future where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.

Story

Hey, thanks for visiting my page!

I am trekking the Great Wall of China in September 2012 for Ovarian Cancer Action. It is going to be a huge challenge over 6 days covering some mountainous terrain & with ALOT of steps to climb!

Someone very close to me has recently beaten Ovarian Cancer and it brought my attention to the disease and also to the amazing work that Ovarian Cancer Action do.

Ovarian Cancer kills a woman every two hours in the UK and only around four in 10 British women survive five years after diagnosis. The charity carries out important research into new treatments & earlier diagnosis aswell as providing support for women with the disease.

Please give generously and spread the word! Thankyou! xx

Aside from the main challenge, I am also taking part in various events in my quest to reach my target & you can support me on this page for all of them.

So far i have ran the Bideford half marathon - Thankyou all for your sponsorship for this, i completed in 2 hours 14 mins.

In May I have a Taekwondo kickathon - 1000 rep challenge(!) courtesy of Ponthir Tae Kwon-Do Club & Mr David James. This involves completing 1000 kicks & other exercises in fancy dress along with all the club members. I have no experience with martial arts (aside from watching karate kid) so this will be quite a challenge! and good fun no doubt!

I appreciate your support in all these events.

you can contact me at sara-campbell@hotmail.co.uk if you think you can help in any other way.

Many thanks x
