As I reach the tender age of 35 on Saturday 10th Sept, I thought I would do something a little different this time. Every year I get asked what I want for my birthday, well this year I thought it would be great to give something back to CSEP. This is the education Charity where I have worked for the past 8 years. Established in 1982, with 150 young people attending Math and English Saturday classes regularly, the Charity will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2012. Like all voluntary organisations, CSEP is struggling to find funding to meet the basic costs. This is a perfect opportunity to give me something that I really want and that there really is a NEED right now. I would like to raise a substantial amount as this September will be particularly difficult financially. I’m now asking my friends and family to step up and make a difference to something that means a lot to me. In light of the recent riots and the growing issues in London just imagine that your donation can make a better future possible by providing the little extra help that a child needs today to secure all our futures tomorrow!!! £25 can pay for a teacher for 2hrs, £38 can pay for broadband for the month, £50 can pay for a CRB check, £100 can pay for the monthly telephone bill, and £150 can pay for a whole term for one child. £5,000 can help us to support those families who are unable to pay the tuition fees at the moment because of their personal financial situation and the current economic crisis.
