20-year-old Jessica Wales is in desperate need of a double lung transplant. Without one, she will die. Inspired by her positivity and fighting spirit, a star-studded evening of music and laughter has been created to raise funds for the Organ Donation charity Live Life Then Give Life. Save Jess-tival will take place on Friday 16th October 2009. This page is to enable those who cannot attend to make a donation should they wish to do so.

 

What's this all about?

Born with Cystic Fibrosis, Jess' lungs have been damaged to such an extent that in 2005 she was put on the waiting list for a double lung transplant.

Four years later and Jess is still hanging on, but only just. Desperate not to lose her, a group of Jess' friends started a campaign to "Save Jess" which captured the hearts of thousands across the country, including many celebrities. Where will my money go?

All funds raised from Save Jess-tival will go to Live Life Then Give Life, who work tirelessly to raise awareness about organ donation in the hope of saving lives like Jess’s.

Money raised will go specifically towards an exciting new project which will train transplant patients and donor families to go out into schools, universities and community groups to give talks and provide information about organ donation and transplantation.

Jess has inspired millions by speaking out about her situation; hearing a real life story is stronger than any statistic and by developing a network of speakers across the country we hope to inspire millions more.
