Story

You did it! You helped save the Festival!

A very BIG thank you to you, our supporters.  With your generosity and support, from the small to the very large donation, we have done it together! You have ensured the immediate future of Cambridge Summer Music and this year’s Festival. Now it is up to us, the organisation, to carry on, buoyed up by countless messages of goodwill.

For the moment we will be keeping this appeal open  –

but  now it will be here for the purpose of informing you of exciting projects to support that may, for instance, help  young musical talent, or  provide workshops for children, or bring an exciting performer to a village. A Cambridge Summer Music Supporters’ page!  Let us know if you have ideas- write to info@cambridgesummermusic.com

OUR FIRST PROJECT

Celebrating a distinguished Cambridge composer, John Rutter, on his 70th birthday

We are showcasing a special  performance of his 'Pied Piper of Hamelin' musical by the young company Creative Youth, which will also feature about 30 very young Cambridge musical rats!  We are looking for a total of £1500 to help bring this performance to Cambridge on Saturday 25 July, an amount we have added to our initial goal of £35,000.
